This is our daughter, Finley’s nursery. She will be our second child but first daughter! We are soo excited to have a girl and I just couldn’t wait to get started on the nursery. We live in a 1930′s Cape Cod home with a converted attic, where both our kid’s rooms are. With that, you get the pitched ceilings and weird angles. Her room is VERY small and hard to place things, so we had our work cut out for us. We were on a small budget so I knew we would have to find used pieces and reuse some things that we already had. I actually used some of my son’s bedding from his nursery in her bedding. The bumper and matching skirt are from his bedding and I just added a couple tiers on the skirt with some fabric that I had already. I have a very eclectic style and wanted that for her nursery! I also had the chair and hanging flower lamp! Decorating her nursery was so much fun and I love the way it turned out. Now all we have to do is wait till September to put the finishing touch! We can’t wait to meet our baby girl!

I love your decorating style!
Wow – Finley’s nursery is amazing! I love all the bright, saturated colors. You would never guess from the wonderful photos that it’s a small space. I would love to use your photo that includes my Birds on Wires print as an alt image for that listing in my shop. Would that be possible? I would credit your photo in the description below and link back to your site.

Hello,
I have been trying to put together a nursery for our little girl. I love the fabric you used to make the crib skirt! Do you happen to know where I could buy some or the designer of the fabric? It would be so helpful! Thanks.

Just discovered your blog through 6th street. you have great style! Do you know where you got that blue boys rug- i am in love with it and it’s the perfect shade of blue that i’m looking for!
Hi from Croatia! I am delighted how you decorated this beautiful nursery. Great job! I would like to share some of your photos from this post with my readers if you agree.(With the link on your site, of course!) I look forward to your reply.
I think I may be obsessed with both of your kids’ rooms. I love that you play with so much color. They are eclectic and playful without being messy or juvenile. So great! I am completely inspired to take on more chances with my own daughter’s room. Thanks!
I adore this room! I want to copy it! Such great use of color.
oh how i love this room! i’m using it as my insipration for my nursery/guest room. i found it somewhere when i searched yellow and white chevron curtains – i’m doing the same thing. my question… i love the color of your green dresser. would you mind sharing the color name and brand? thanks so much!
I love this! What color paint did you use for the dresser?
Hi! I love this room! I’m using similar colors in my baby girl’s nursery and would love to know what floral fabric you used on the bedskirt?
Thanks!
Oh my heavens, another darling room!! Love your style!
I *love* this room!! It is so pretty and colorful! I want something like this for my girls’ room. We just scored two beautiful Jenny Lind beds off of Craigslist, and I have that exact same dresser that you have! Also from CL! Right now it’s a pretty cream color, but I’m thinking of painting it either a sunny yellow or green! Thanks for sharing the inspiration!
I absolutely love your daughters bedding!! I am about 4 months pregnant & would love to duplicate this look. Would you ever consider remaking the skirt & selling it?
Hi Carley,
I’m so in love with your decorating. I’m expecting my second baby and am totally inspired by Finley’s room. Would you mind telling me the color of the paint used on the green dresser, the floral fabric used on the crib skirt and where you got the blue/white rug? Absolutely love your work!!
This is nursery is SO lovely! The mix of patterns, prints and colors is so unexpected yet it really, really works. And it’s so amazing that you created a lot of the pieces yourself! Beautiful job.

Hi! Just amazing what you did with your baby’s nursery. I’ve been scouring the Internet looking for an iron crib like yours. I know you mentioned Craigslist. Is there any detail on your crib as to the maker or where it comes from? I would be so thrilled to know anything about it or ideas you may have for something similar.
Cheers!
