On August 25, at 12:57pm, we welcomed our daughter Finley Kay in to the world! What a joy she is! I cannot express my love for this little miracle and how much she makes our family feel complete. She is a great baby and I’m still getting used to having such a little newborn. She weighed in at 7lbs 5 oz. Compare that to my son, Cohen, who weighed 9lbs 9oz. Big difference there. =) I’ve had to go out and buy some clothes to fit her little body since I thought she would be wearing 0-3 from the start. haha…nope! But I love every bit of her little bird legs! (which are now getting some rolls) I love being a mother of two and am thankful that Cohen loves her so much already. He sits in front of her face and waits for her to open her eyes, or move her hands so they brisk his face. He laughs so hard when she “touches” him! He calls her honey buns, baby girl, sunshine, and Finley Kay! It’s seriously the cutest thing you’ve ever seen. He’s still getting used to her crying in the car. We had an instance recently when she was screaming and he screamed, “Finley Kay….that’s enough!!!” Oops…maybe mommy has used that phrase one too many times! haha =)
I have been trying to keep up with her daily by taking some pictures of different poses. I did pretty good for the first week and then it turned into more of a weekly shoot. She is nearing a month old already! Can’t believe it! Here are some of my favorite shots of my sweet baby girl! Enjoy her, cause we sure do!
